About Organization

Creative Nepal is a Non-Profit Organization established at 2011. Idea of Establishing this organization was to run a small business of handicraft to empower women in Nepal and also providing residential trainings to students from rural areas. She believes in equal responsibilities and respect to both the gender in a home. Creative Nepal wants all women to be financial savvy with the skills they have. Each woman participates in our training program for 6 to 18 months. Women have a choice of which skills they want to pursue. These skills includes design, sewing, weaving, embroidery, knitting, jewelry making and pattern work. While in training each woman receives a stipend. Through a dedicated and passionate team LWH has been able to establish a safe community which have trained and employed hundreds of women. With these new skills, a stipend and 12 months in a safe community, they are empowered to progress in their lives.
  • Do ethical business in authentic, environmentally safe and hand made products from economically marginalized producers.
  • Harmonious relationship with the investors, customers, employees and workers.
  • Capacity building through trainings, exposures and consultative meetings.
  • To promote the exportation of Nepalese handicrafts.
  • To motivate and support handicraft producers.
  • To sponsor professional training workshops where appropriate.
  • To promote handicrafts from different parts of the country, particularly from areas with lower levels of economic growth.
  • To locate traditional handicrafts from all regions of Nepal and promote their high quality products.
  • To provide appropriate financial and technical support to craft producers.
  • Expand its Women’s Entrepreneurial Empowerment model to train women in the world’s poorest regions for economic sustainability by 2025.
  • Establish a social business partnership with other local Nepali entrepreneurs.
  • Spread anti-sweatshop awareness and educate consumers about fair trade principles.
  • Empower 10,000 marginalized women by 2020.
